Domestic Violence - Behind The Wall
Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won't do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all
Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won't do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all
And when they arrive
They say they can't interfere
With domestic affairs
Between a man and his wife
And as they walk out the door
The tears well up in her eyes
Last night I heard the screaming
Then a silence that chilled my soul
Prayed that I was dreaming
When I saw the ambulance in the road
And the policeman said
"I'm here to keep the peace.
Will the crowd disperse?
I think we all could use some sleep."
Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won't do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all

Susan Pawlecki Jarrell (Image) : Police Probe Tumultous Divorce In Bloomfield Township Murder - Suicide
The Last Trip
Records show that Gold stepped up efforts in December to enforce the prior judge’s orders by filing multiple motions and affidavits.Susan Jarrell’s concerns about her children’s safety heightened after her ex-husband took the couple’s two daughters to Tennessee to visit his parents the week before Christmas. In court documents, she alleged having only same-day notice of the trip and that the children objected to visiting there because the conditions were unsanitary. She said the children were unhappy and one of Jarrell’s adult relatives made them feel “uncomfortable.”
“The father’s recent behavior has been so poor that it rises to the level of near neglect, and cannot be tolerated,” Gold alleged in court documents filed before the end of the year.
On Jan. 5 – five days before the shootings – Young formally denied Kenneth Jarrell’s motion to alter custody and ordered him to pay all attorney fees within a month, records show.
Langmeyer said he would not comment on financial issues or matters related to the divorce until the police department's investigation is complete.
Rochester : French Teacher Susan Pawlecki Jarrell Shot By Her Husband In Murder - Suicide - Remembered By Her School
A Rochester Community Schools French teacher killed in an apparent murder-suicide was being remembered Wednesday as dedicated and highly regarded by both her students and peers.
Susan Pawlecki Jarrell, 46, of Rochester Hills died in the driveway of her ex-husband's Bloomfield Township rental home about 8 p.m. Tuesday, Bloomfield Township Police Lt. Phil Langmeyer said. Her ex-husband, Kenneth Jarrell, 56, was found dead next to the vehicle.
"He shot her while she was sitting in the vehicle, parked in the driveway ... then he turned the weapon on himself," Langmeyer said.
Neighbors called police when they heard the shots. Investigators found the gun in the yard.
The couple were recently divorced and have three school-aged children, Langmeyer said. The children, who lived with Susan Jarrell in Rochester Hills, were not at the Bloomfield Township home when the incident took place, Langmeyer said.
Susan Jarrell taught French at Stoney Creek High School and Hart Middle School.
"Susan was one of the most positive and dedicated teachers I have ever met," Larry Goralski, principal at Stoney Creek High School, said in a statement.
Students, staff and families at Stoney Creek and Hart were informed of Jarrell's death Wednesday morning, and Superintendent Fred Clarke sent a message to all district families, according to a statement from the district. Counselors and school social workers will be providing support for students and staff, the statement said.
Funeral arrangements are pending, according to the district.

A Janesville man is the only suspect after police Tuesday found his girlfriend’s body under the stairs in the couple’s home.

O.J. Simpson : 101 Pieces Of Evidence To Prove O.J. Murdered His Wife Nicole

Wives ALSO Kill Their Husbands...
Though O.J. Simpson vehemently denies that he murdered his former wife, his case has provoked a flurry of media attention toward other husbands who kill their wives. Coincidentally with the Simpson case, the Department of Justice has just released the first detailed empirical study of "murder in families." It contains some surprising information, which contrasts sharply with the media headlines.
The most shocking finding of this study--which analyzed nearly ten thousand cases--is that wives murder their husbands far more frequently than press reports would suggest. To put the issue in context, women in general account for only about 10 percent of defendants charged with all murders. But for all spousal murders, women accounted for more than 40 percent of defendants. And "among black marital partners, wives were just about as likely to kill their husbands as husbands were to kill their wives." Not surprisingly, when it comes to parents who kill their children, mothers kill more often than fathers.
The real headline of this report, therefore, is that women W almost as often as men do in the context of all family murders, though men much more often kill strangers--nearly always other men,
The other shocker in this report is that husbands who kill their wives are not treated more leniently than men who kill strangers, despite the media myth to the contrary. Indeed, they were as likely to be charged with first-degree murder, were no more likely to have their cases dismissed or diverted, and were as likely to be convicted. Nor were their sentences significantly different, when relevant "case characteristics"--such as prior criminal record--were taken into account. Indeed, the only real difference is that spousal murderers "required less time to disposition than other types of murder cases."..read more
